We're committed to helping Feral Cats
Feral Cat Spay Neuter Fund
Happenings and Stuff going on with the cats
I will be posting things as they happen, progress or not, donations, amounts and such. I hope to update this site everyday, but at least a couple of times a week.
12/10/11 I checked on the cats this morning and the water was frozen, but not all of the food was gone. Last night it got down to 25 degrees F. Tonight it is supposed to get down to 22 degrees F. I hope they all are warm as can be for the night and no more die. There are two of the cats that have become really friendly to me and I think that they might be adoptable. They try to come into the trailer and they hop in my lap sometimes and try to get into the van when I get the food. They are mostly black with a little white. One looks younger than a year old and the other is long hair and is older. I will take pictures and post them hopefully tomorrow.
There has been $80.00 raised so far to get two cats fixed so I will do the first trapping attempt on Monday and hopefully I can take the first one in on Tuesday.
Today a few were playing with the toys that I put out for them.
12/12/11 had to urgently capture this kitty today because it had blood coming from it's left eye and was really lethargic and I took it to Tri-County Veterinary Hospital in Sikeston, MO where I am taking all of the feral cats to get fixed and she said that she has set up an account there for anyone that wants to call and donate directly to them for the feral cats they can. I would appreciate any help because I don't know how much it is going to cost to get this little guy fixed and his eye issue fixed. So if you can donate to either the hospital itself or on this site I would greatly appreciate it. One down...almost 11 more to go. I will put up the information on the main page for the Veterinary Hospital. Thanks!!!
12/14/11 Today we (my husband and I) picked up the little guy that we has to rush in on the 12th because of his eye. He is now neutered and his eye is doing great. There was no infection but Dr. St. John put anti biotics in the eye and gave him a shot of it too to keep it at bay. She is a GREAT Vet and I would highly recommend Tri-County Veterinary Hospital to anyone. So this little guy is now somewhat loving. He let me pick him up and hold him, he was a little skittish but he loved the petting. When we got him back we let him out of the carrier and he went right to the food and ate then followed me everywhere. I think that he would make a great addition to any household really. And now he is neutered. So if you are interested or know of anyone that would like to adopt him please call or email me. So I am posting the videos and pictures of the kitty and the bill so you know where and how your donations were used. I now have to wait for more donations before I can trap anymore cats and take them in. The good thing is that they are used to me now and all but two will let me pet them some. So I can probably grab/trap a female to get spayed. Please donate and/or pass the word along and look for updates. I have been knitting and any hats or other knitted items that I sell I am using half of the money to put into the feral cat fund and remember you can call the Vet Hospital directly to donate. THANK YOU so much for helping. Now one cat has been helped by you all!!! Carrol

Well I just took the two that I caught today, one is a male about a year old the other is unknown right now and semi feral tiger striped cat. I just got home and here is the little house that I set up for them in the garage of my adopted dad's house, he suggested it. Tell me what you think. Also just enjoy the pictures and passed the link along so that maybe others will donate to help get these little guys and gals fixed I think I am about half way there now. I used the last of the donations from knitting that I sold and others today to get these two fixed. Still some of them need homes. Please tell farmers in the area (2 hour radius from me) that I have some feral and semi feral cats that are good for mice catching. http://www.feralcattrapneuterrelease.org/ or Tri-County Veterinary Hospital 573-472-1022. http://carrolmick.carrolmick.chipin.com/feral-cat-feeding-and-neutering-ell I just took the two that I caught today, one is a male about a year old the other is unknown right now and semi feral tiger striped cat. 12/31/11 Picked up the last two females that were spayed today thanks to the generous donations have been received. They seem to be doing well. I will post photos and youtube videos tonight. Hello everyone need more donations for this week to get the rest of the males fixed that are feral if possible. I will be leaving for NC soon and then there will be no one left here to get this small colony of cats fixed. I got most of them fixed now just a few more left. Also need to find homes for the ones that are not feral. Hello my dear friends. These are a few of the cats out here in Southeastern Missouri that are up for adoption. Time is sort of running out for them because right now I am here in Southeastern, Missouri and I have had them neutered and spayed and I have constructed placed for them to sleep and keep dry and fed them, but I will be leaving the area soon heading for North Carolina. These cats are spayed and neutered and are not feral. They need homes.
There are the following:
less than a year old tiger striped kitten male neutered
long haired black with white long haired male neutered a year old
grey long hair grey female cat spayed about a year old
short haired black female lovable spayed about a year old
short haired tiger striped male neutered male less than a year old
- I will be willing to transport these loving cats to homes along my route to North Carolina so that they can be loved like they deserved; my route is
south on I55 from Sikeston, MO to Memphis, TN then on US 45 towards Tupelo, MS, then US 45 towards Birmingham, AL, then I20 towards Atlanta, GA then towards Augusta, GA then on to Florence, SC then US 76 to Jacksonville, NC.
I need help getting the word out to loving people that would like to make the lives of these few non feral(wild) cats a part of their loving homes, keep them warm, keep them healthy and safe, and get them shots and vet care.
Please contact me at carrolmick@gmail.com or 720-732-8612 to work out details.
All of these cats have only been altered no shots or vet checks all done with donations from generous loving people looking out for their welfare.
